This is my first attempt at a space painting and I think it went really well! I had some really awesome reference that I pulled from a news article that had the latest space photos and there were some really gorgeous images that I got from that. The creature featured in this piece is something I came up with as I was drifting off to sleep.

It's name is Azmo, Devourer of Worlds. The name is an ode to the hardest boss monster in Final Fantasy IX, Ozma. The idea is that these creatures ran out of planets to devour in their part of the universe so they hijacked a space portal in order to find more planets for feeding on. You can see all of the Azmos arriving through the portal in the background. There are a lot of neat little details scattered around this scene so look closely.
